Mrs. Opal Bernice DAVIDSON, 69, of 908 Fairview Avenue, died Monday afternoon after an illness of five years. She had lived in Wingate until moving to Crawfordsville in 1954. She was a 1916 graduate of Wingate HS. She was a member of Wingate Christian Church. She was born Oct 1, 1897 in Richland Township of Fountain County, a daughter of Salvester (sic) and Mary U. Dora (Twiddy) Twiddy. She married Samuel E. Davidson June 11, 1919. Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Smith of Crawfordsville; a son, William of Indianapolis, a sister, Freeda Twiddy of Wingate and three grandsons. She was preceded in death by two infant sons two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Homer Huntsinger of Lebanon officiating. Burial in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. - kbz
